It didn't change the color of the moon at all like a regular ecslipse - they said it remained pure white and bright. They could see the full circle outline of the moon with the curve at the bottom a little thicker than the sides and top. About an hour later, the shadow faded and the moon returned to a crescent moon with the points facing upwards. My Dad became concerned also because he couldn't find the north star and he always can... he points it out all the time. We were always fascinated by astronomy while growing up. Did anyone else see it? I am so bummed that she doesn't have a picture... she just recently got her first cell phone and didn't think about using the camera to take a picture of it!
