Midnight asked in the main thread how do you tell info from dis info? That is the million dollar question and I answered as best I could about what I do. But I thought about this and there is something I do that is more or less perhaps about the questions I don't have answers for and in my life I do ask "permission" sometimes, most times about things like travel and jobs and life decisions. If I am not getting a definite small voice in my head answer, or if things about the place have been a bit dodgy with accidents and the like, meaning there is some kind of "other spirits" gotten through the hedge and I am feeling their effects, then I put out a fleece. It comes from this story in the Word:

Jdg 6:19 And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
Jdg 6:20 And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
Jdg 6:21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
Jdg 6:22 And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

Jdg 6:28 And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
Jdg 6:29 And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.

Jdg 6:36 And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,
Jdg 6:37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
Jdg 6:38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
Jdg 6:39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.
Jdg 6:40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

So talk about a man with little faith. Gideon had talked to an angel of YHWH and yet he was so fearful of making a mistake he had to have not one, but two "tiny miracles" in order to believe he was worthy to lead Israel.

I have used this method, not with a sheep's skin, but with things that would happen in our lives. Once to find a type of plant growing in the middle of winter in a place that it had not for a long time. Once to have someone pull up to our house and beep, which does not happen often. I used something that could happen, but rarely does or and I ususally have my son pray with me about it and be a witness to the event.

When you do hear a still small voice in your mind that can be YHWH or it can be a spirit pretending to be YHWH. It is no different than Nancy, really in its happening. It sounds the same. different from your own inner voice the one you use when you are doing a task, like a recipe from the heart, for instance, you hear in your head, the components but in your own voice. Here are the verses that talk about how YHWH speaks to His people in that voice:

1Ki 19:9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
1Ki 19:10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
1Ki 19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
1Ki 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
1Ki 19:13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?


So Elijah was hearing a still small voice in his head, but we must learn to try the Spirit and be sure, a dear gentleman name Ellis taught me how to do this, by making the voice say to you these exact words: Yahushua is come in the flesh. For me that is the name I call YHWH's salvation by, so that is the name I use, if you call him by another name, then use it. but the important part of this sentence is the smallest word, IS. It the spirit cannot say, IS COME in the flesh, then you have a different spirit, not a holy one, this too is from scripture:

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.


Note that last line, the antichrist was already present on the earth in that day, and it still is. Sometimes, they might tell you some truth, but it almost never will be all truth.
