Obama administration blocked efforts to tell about oil spill worst-case scenario, panel says
Published: Wednesday, October 06, 2010, 5:00 PM

WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration blocked efforts by government scientists to tell the public just how bad the Gulf oil spill could become and made other missteps that raised questions about its competence and candor during the crisis, according to a commission appointed by the president to investigate the disaster.

For the first time, the documents — which are preliminary findings by the panel's staff — show that the White House was directly involved in controlling the message as it struggled to convey that it, not BP, was in charge of responding to what eventually became the biggest offshore oil spill in U.S. history.

Citing interviews with government officials, the report reveals that in late April or early May, the White House budget office denied a request from NOAA to make public its worst-case estimate of how much oil could spew from the blown-out well.

Thanks for posting this ruts

This must be a devastating experience for those living in the area's affected. The responsible people having caused this have to be brought to justice!!!

I suppose that will only happen when Hell freezes over.

Massive stretches of weathered oil spotted in Gulf of Mexico

The discovery, which comes as millions of birds begin moving toward the region in the fall migration, gave ammunition to groups that have insisted the government has overstated clean-up progress, and could force reclosure of key fishing areas only recently reopened.

Why are the American public so acceptant over this disaster?

A man can be sent to jail for throwing a shoe at the president, and yet BP has not had a single case filed against it for their heinous act of genocide against the people in the Gulf and the Planet.

Money talks and I am starting to think that the people of the US are really totally mind controlled or even worse - Mind F@&%ed? You should get some Frenchies over there to teach you a thing or two about protesting.

That pic is awesome L2L -

Shame on BP and the American Government!!!

Hat Tip to Arrow at FC :clap :clap
=======================================

A synthetic biological plague released in the Gulf. Gulf residents continue to get sick. Fish are contaminated. Anger at Obama Adminsitration for white washing the situation and pushing for tourism into this toxic mire.

It gets worse: http://worldvisionportal.org/wvpforum/v … amp;t=1031

Artificial oil-eating bacteria. Which also feast on humans. (As if the chemicals from the spill and the Corexit weren't enough.) I understand they're putting out a vaccine... Guess who will make money from it?

SNIP
HUMAN EFFECTS

The ETC Group is an international civil society organization based in Ottawa, Canada. They recently stated in a press release that "Synthetic biology is a high-risk profit-driven field, building organisms out of parts that are still poorly understood. We know that lab-created life-forms can escape, become biological weapons, and that their use threatens existing natural biodiversity. Most worrying of all, Craig Venter is handing this powerful technology to the world’s most irresponsible and environmentally damaging industry by partnering with the likes of BP and Exxon to hasten the commercialization of synthetic life-forms."(12)

Now we have scientific confirmation of “a previously unknown species of cold-water hydrocarbon-eating bacteria” gobbling up oil in the Gulf. (11)

Nothing is known about how this new synthetic bio-remediation bacterium in the Gulf reacts with mankind. This is virgin and uncharted territory. We already know how sea mammals such as whales and porpoises have reacted. Those who haven’t escaped the affected areas of the Gulf have died… along with all other marine life and coastal vegetation. While human health effects from crude oil exposure are well known, the effects of dispersants containing oil-eating artificial bacteria are not known. It’s never been done before, let alone at the immense scale of operations now taking place.

There’s a reason the so-called “dispersants” are guarded by weapon-yielding soldiers and local armed law enforcement in warehouses and deployment yards along the Gulf coast. If a sample were to be analyzed by knowledgeable people, the biological and chemical anomalies it contains would be made public, right down to the unique DNA signature. BP keeps allowing their sorcerer’s brew to be called Corexit in order to hide the fact that it’s not just the name brand product any longer.

The physical symptoms of the BP Flu, BP Crud, Blue Flu, or whatever name you choose to call it, are as unique as the synthetic bacteria being used in the Gulf. Since mankind is carbon based, how do these synthetically created hydrogen and carbon hungry bacteria react to human flesh? Internal bleeding as well as ulcerating skin lesions are the physical signs of their computer created DNA signature.

BP and their paid minions have released a synthetic biological plague in the Gulf of Mexico and it’s out of control. The entire world is a victim of their greed and foolishness. By playing the role of creator, they have begun a very dangerous game with infinite repercussions for life as we know it.

BTW, apparently, LOTS of oil is now coming up, maybe from fractures?

Why?

The reappearance of huge plumes of oil is making it hard to pretend that it has all gone away.

And Frontline and ProPublica released a new documentary called The Spill which says:

•BP has a terrible track record of safety

•Workers had "an exception degree of fear" and worried about dying at BP's texas oil refinery, and BP's own plant manager pleaded for safety measures to be implemented. Headquarters said no.
•BP's giant Alaska facility was only designed to last until 1987, and then was supposed to be torn down. But instead, according to one of BP's Alaska workers: "They're going to run everything to failure".
•BP's philosophy is: "How many lives can we afford to lose before we have to deal with this?"
•BP stopped doing a basic oil pipeline safety measure, which caused a huge spill in Alaska
•BP used too few inspectors, and used unqualified inspectors
•The giant Thunderhorse platform fell over because a key part was installed backwards
•Internal documents show BP engineers trying to find ways to cut costs and cut corners, so BP bypassed numerous normal safety measures.
•When Tony Hayward took over as CEO, he said he was going to increase safety ... at the same time he insisted on substantial new cost cutting measures.
•Because BP is not being reined in or restricted, and still has a cost-cutting culture, giant, future accidents will occur.

But as Greg Palast notes, The Spill is a whitewash sponsored by Chevron, rehashing information which Palast and others reported on years ago, and falsely implying that other oil companies have stellar safety records.

Many Gulf residents quite sick.

Gulf Oil Spill: Recent PHOTOS Show Disaster Is Far From Cleaned Up

With over six months having passed since BP's Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, tragically taking the lives of 11 men and leading to an estimated 205 million gallons or more spewing into the ocean and onto nearby coasts, it would seem that much of the mainstream media has moved on from the plight caused by America's worst environmental disaster in history.

Although BP plugged the well and it was declared "effectively dead" in mid-September, even having scaled back their clean-up efforts prior to that, the catastrophe is far from over for the Gulf residents impacted from the spill and the natural environment likewise devastated in the aftermath.

Recent reports that surfaced alongside images of dark streaks in Gulf waters have been discounted by some scientists as a common algae outbreak, The New York Times reports. But they also report that -- despite 11,000 people still at work cleaning up the crude mess -- delicate marshlands remain coated and tarballs continue to wash up on beaches that have been previously cleaned. Additionally, a CNN reporter recently discovered that thick layers of tar linger underneath the sand, well below the level at which beaches are being cleaned.

Below are new photos from the Gulf of Mexico -- some as recent as last Friday -- confirming that BP's disaster is far from cleaned up. Although the media may have moved on, things aren't so easy for the Gulf residents and wildlife adversely affected as oil continues to wash ashore for an unforeseeable time to come.

Local doctor links spill to symptoms

November 02, 2010 11:26 AM
By Jennie Hobbs

Rodney D. Soto, medical doctor for the Younger You Institute in Santa Rosa Beach, recently started testing and treating patients in relation to high levels of volatile solvents in the blood stream that he says might be linked to BP's oil spill in the gulf.

"What I am concerned most about is a long-term effect that won’t even show up for years, but (is) going to have tremendous implications in human immune system and hormonal function and brain function,” Soto said, in relation to his patients fears about exposure to the hazardous materials.

Petroleum and dispersant compounds are liposoluble, meaning they have a high affinity for fat, Soto said.

According to Florida Department of Environmental Protection, "the BP spill contains crude oil and natural gas. Crude oil and natural gas may include volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Those of most concern would be principally: benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, meta-xylene, para-xylene, and ortho-xylene (m-xylene, p-xylene, and o-xylene)."

“It is not the fat that you would think of; it is the fat tissue in your body. The brain is 70 percent fat, and the glands, immune cells, the intestinal tract, thyroid, breast, prostate, the organs and systems. That is why it causes all of these disorders,” Soto said. “That is why it is so significant for children."

Children’s brains and reproductive organs and processes are still forming, which could make their exposure to the petro chemicals even more significant.

snip

Quote:
“I don’t know if they can ‘make this right’ anymore,” he added.

Coral, Marine-Life Devastation Near BP Oil Spill Indicates Much Worse Long-Term Damage Than Feds Had Admitted

Image

NEW ORLEANS — For the first time, federal scientists have found damage to deep sea coral and other marine life on the ocean floor several miles from the blown-out BP well – a strong indication that damage from the spill could be significantly greater than officials had previously acknowledged.

Tests are needed to verify that the coral died from oil that spewed into the Gulf of Mexico after the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion, but the chief scientist who led the government-funded expedition said Friday he was convinced it was related.

"What we have at this point is the smoking gun," said Charles Fisher, a biologist with Penn State University who led the expedition aboard the Ronald Brown, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research vessel.

"There is an abundance of circumstantial data that suggests that what happened is related to the recent oil spill," Fisher said.

BP Oil Disaster Victims Vow Never Forget

Image

Down in the Louisiana bayou, the fall season is changing with the north winds. Millions of ducks, geese and migratory birds are arriving as they have throughout the millennia. Shrimp are slowly abandoning the nourishing coastal marshes as cooler water pushes them out to sea.

On the surface, life appears normal. But all is far from normal more than six months after the worst maritime oil spill in history. Many residents here are in a fight for their lives. Things have not changed much for them since that fateful day on April 20 when the Deepwater Horizon blew a fireball of oil and gas into the air, killing 11 men and creating an 87-day gusher of undersea oil that captured the world's attention.

Now the press is gone and the world has moved on. But fishermen and businesses in the Gulf are struggling. Demand for once-prized Gulf shrimp and crab is as low as a brown pelican skimming the sea searching for its next meal. The American public isn't buying the PR campaigns or government claims that the seafood is safe. Fishermen are having a hard time paying their bills after the most disastrous season since Katrina.

A really sad situation L2L

FWIW I watch the movie "Knowing" again on the weekend, and I must say the scenes they had in the movie regarding a Gulf Oil rig exploding was so close on par with what happened a year later for real, it was uncanny! A False Flag notice imo!!

Anybody else seen this?

Says a lot if the PTBs or Masons are so blasé about telling before they act. All this shit is planned in fine detail and then they do a show and tell! The question is what is their plan behind the Gulf disaster? It surely can't just be to create an algae mass for them to mine in the future? The frozen hydrocarbon resource in deep seas is a far more lucrative deal.

Gulf Oil Spill Investigation: Forensic Testing Begins On Deepwater Horizon Blowout Preventer

Image

NEW ORLEANS — Testing started Tuesday on a key piece of evidence in the investigation of what led to the massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill, federal investigators said.

The device, known as a blowout preventer, is a 300-ton steel contraption that sits at the wellhead of exploratory wells and is supposed to lock in place to prevent a spill in the case of an explosion.

Read the rest here

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/1 ... 84488.html

It can snuff a blowout by squeezing rubber seals tightly around the pipes with up to 1 million pounds of force. If the seals fail, the blowout preventer deploys a last line of defense: a set of rams that can slice right through the pipes and cap the blowout.

BP Fights Court Bid To Lift Oil Spill Damages Limit

Image

19 (Moira Herbst) - BP Plc (BP.L) had said for months it would pay all legitimate damages for the largest oil spill in U.S. history, but now it's fighting a bid to legally force it to waive a $75 million statutory cap.

Lawyers for local businesses and individuals filed a motion this month asking U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier, who is overseeing the oil-spill litigation in New Orleans, to rule that a cap is inapplicable in this case.

The Gulf of Mexico is the source of heat for the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. It travels up the East Coast of the US, onwards north to Labrador where collides with the fresh water melt in the Labrador current from the North Pole region. It then heads east and carries the warm water to Northern Europe where it meets the North Sea current, heads south along the western seaboard of Europe until it meets the Canary current and then heads back towards Barbados in a big Atlantic ocean loop where it begins the process over. This warm water flow allows people in Spain, who live at the same lattitude as NY, to enjoy warm winters. Their heating bill is paid by the Gulf of Mexico and delivery charges are picked up by the Gulf Stream.

Feds close section of Gulf again after shrimper catches tar balls

US authorities have closed to shrimping a section of the Gulf of Mexico near the area of a massive oil spill this year as a precautionary measure after a commercial shrimper found tar balls in his net.

The National Oceanographic and Oceanic Administration said on Wednesday the area closed to royal red shrimping is 10,000 square kilometres of Gulf of Mexico federal waters off Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

“The precautionary measure was taken after a commercial shrimper, having hauled in his catch of the deep water shrimp, discovered tar balls in his net,” the agency said in a statement.

BP are a bunch of lying sacks of shiat :fu

Gulf Submarine Exploration Reveals Ocean Floor Covered In Oil (Video)

This week, BP began challenging government and scientific estimates of how much oil actually gushed into the Gulf of Mexico following the Deepwater Horizon explosion.

The federal government has estimated that about 2.6 million gallons of oil a day spewed from the well, declining to about 2.2 million gallons daily before the well was capped in mid-July, according to the Associated Press.

The oil company is facing enormous legal ramifications for the explosion and oil spill, which killed 11 rig workers and damaged thousands of miles of marine habitat.

Seer Press reports:

"Of course, even now, while they're challenging the figures that the government and its scientists have based their estimates of fines on, BP still has not provided an alternative figure. That's in spite of speculation that the government’s figures were actually underestimating the rate of flow."

Watch the video clip below from ABC News, in which a reporter travels with a submarine crew to find out whether the oil has really "dissipated" like BP officials claim.

Good catch, L. Scientists have been saying that for years.

There was a post on Kindra Arnesen's Facebook page today claiming that a Synthetic Life-form was released into the Gulf of Mexico. There was a link posted to a YouTube video to watch which explains the thinking behind that statement:

The poster's comment was

Quote:
Looks like this maybe it... Craig Venter invents a Synthetic Life form just a month after a laser blew up the Deepwater Horizon.

Here is the link to the site that discusses this invention:
http://www.galacticwacko.com/theory.html

The above site links to an article called:
THE GULF BLUE PLAGUE
IT’S NOT WISE TO FOOL MOTHER NATURE

a couple of excerpts from the above article - much to long to post here even though there are no copyright constraints:

SYNTHETIC GENOMICS

..... On June 13, 2007, BP made a long-term research and development deal and an undisclosed equity investment into a company named Synthetic Genomics Inc. which was.... commercializ(ing) genomic-driven technologies.

.....BP/Synthetic Genomics recovered the DNA from subsurface hydrocarbon substrates (biological organisms in crude oil) and applied DNA “sequencing methods” to them.

.... Their goal was to develop new microbes with lab created genomes that would improve the flow of gas and oil out of a reservoir.

.... Micro-organisms are introduced into oil wells to produce by-products which help propel oil out of the well. Because these processes help to mobilize the oil and assist oil flow, they allow a greater amount to be recovered from the well. (2)

.... (synthetic) micro-organisms can be applied to an oil reservoir where they grow between the oil and the well’s rock surface to enhance oil recovery. As a by-product of metabolism, micro-organisms produce carbon dioxide gas and this gas accumulates and displaces the oil by driving it up and out of the ground. At the same time, micro-organisms can break down the viscosity of the oil so that it’s thinner and can flow easier. (Part of the explosion was excess gas igniting.)

... On May 6, 2010, JCVI (a branch of BP/Synthetic Genomics ) revealed they had already created a self-replicating bacterial cell controlled by a chemically synthesized genome they named “synthetic Mycoplasma mycoides JCVI-syn1.0”. (7) This completely synthetic cell with its computer designed genome has absolutely no natural DNA. (1) The etc group from Canada named it Synthia and it contains added watermark chains to identify the genome as artificial. It also has antibiotic resistance indicators. (7) One can only speculate why this artificial bacterium has an inherent programmed capability to resist antibiotics.

.... What would happen if mankind is contaminated by this self-reproducing artificial life form by contact or by breathing it? Would we become subjective to the DNA of the synthetic cells flowing throughout our bodies? Would the Synthia cells combine with other bacterium within us to create a new deadly bacterium? Since the micro-organism is created and gets its programming from computers, would we become subject to artificial electro-magnetic frequencies recognized by these genomes? There are a lot of questions that need to yet be answered. What matters most is this: Will we find out those answers in time?

Keep connecting the dots. The picture is starting to take shape now.

LOTS more at this link - well worth reading. very scary

30 FACTS EVIDENCing the rothschild league of bankers planned the gulf oil crisis
by Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz and Sherri Kane

Abstract
This article explains what is really happening in the Gulf of Mexico, who is really responsible for the explosion, and how the devastation serves investment bankers who sway stocks, create markets, and planned this crisis, among a series of catastrophies, to advance geopolitical and financial agendas for their New World Order.

Introduction
WAR has been declared against We The People. Yet, there is no country or military present to defend us.

Covert infiltrations and corruptions in governments by the “Rothschild League” of bankers and “private equity investors” now poison our bodies, minds, and planet. Yet, appropriate military and/or militia defenses are prohibited.

Crisis-capitalists are massacring us and our environment petrochemically. They have deployed propaganda—mass media deception—to camouflage their real intentions and vast destruction.

The air we breathe, food we eat, and water we drink, has been polluted to deliver profitable diseases and depopulation, simulating a “scorched earth policy” of war.

Citizen’s arrests, grand jury investigations, criminal indictments, and war crimes prosecutions are urgently needed, yet forbidden.

Generalized fear, depression, fatigue, and apathy is incapacitating our defenses, aiding the adversaries, and predisposing us to diseases and early deaths.

Based on the following irrefutable facts, the so-called “accidental explosion” in the Gulf is a Transocean/Halliburton/British Petroleum/Goldman-Sachs attack---the latest in a series of unspeakable war crimes perpetrated by Anglo-American State of “Rothschild League” bankers.

Definition and Function of War
WAR has been defined as “a contest between nations or states, carried on by force, . . . for the extension of commerce, . . . for obtaining and establishing the superiority and dominion of one over the other.”

Consider the fact that “it takes money to make money.” Across civilization today, if you want to buy a property or grow a business, most people need to take loans from banks. In fact, the primary way civilians, states, and nations advance economically is contracted or underwritten by the banking industry.

Similarly, war is nearly always financed by banks and, allegedly, repaid by taxes.

As you read the following facts, consider these methods by which We The People are now nightmarishly enslaved by a usury system of rampant con-sum-tion. (A word that used to mean degeneration by terminal illness; a sum total “con.”)

Consider the “investment bankers” who steward the stock-markets and care nearly nil about how many species are going extinct, including possibly our own.

Then reflect on this quote by poet Dorothy Parker:
"If you want to know what God thinks about money, just look at the people He gives it to."

Today, besides generating profit as proven below, the Rothschild League, that has held dominion over our global economy for centuries, expands it's mass-mind manipulation, depopulation, and environmental destruction for protection against We The People. After all, we are slowly awakening like a sleeping giant. Our rebuke threatens their plan for complete global control.

30 Chilling Facts Proving We The People Are Under Attack, in an Undeclared War, With the Rothschild League of Bankers:

1)The media is grossly censoringthe extent of the devastation in the Gulf. The poisons—oil and chemical dispersants (Corexit)--are destined to spread globally, but honest reporting is restricted, and independent investigators are being arrested. This censorship is a sure sign of fascism, not freedom or democracy. In this way, the media, financially directed by leading investment bankers (cited below), accomplices this global poisoning, or omnicide. (Click here for an example of more accurate reporting from the Gulf by a private party.)

2)The news and network “programming” is mind-controlling propagandaissued by the “partners” in the Rothschild League of Banks including Goldman-Sachs, JPMorgan-Chase and UBS that direct BP, Transocean, Halliburton, the clean-up capitalists, Corexit suppliers, even the trailers used by clean-up crews, through co-investors heavily represented in the Partnership for New York City(PFNYC), founded by David Rockefeller and chartered by the Royal Family of England. All together, these “partners” wield the most formidable economic power in world history.

3)Ongoing worsening environmental pollution has been a primary objective of these Rothschild League financiers since at least the 1960s, according to their leaked economic agenda. Destroying the environment, thus creating new global threats for remediation markets and emergency management is unconscionable, but very real. This has become a viable alternative to traditional warfare securing profitable population control through crisis capitalism..

Chemical Safety Board: Keep Companies Away From BP Oil Spill Evidence

Image

NEW ORLEANS — The credibility of the investigation into the Gulf oil spill is being undermined because representatives of companies that made or maintained a key piece of evidence – the blowout preventer – have had too much access to it as it is being analyzed, a federal board says.

The Gulf of Mexico is Dying
A Special Report on the BP Gulf Oil Spill

by Dr. Tom Termotto

It is with deep regret that we publish this report. We do not take this responsibility lightly, as the consequences of the following observations are of such great import and have such far-reaching ramifications for the entire planet. Truly, the fate of the oceans of the world hangs in the balance, as does the future of humankind.

The Gulf of Mexico (GOM) does not exist in isolation and is, in fact, connected to the Seven Seas. Hence, we publish these findings in order that the world community will come together to further contemplate this dire and demanding predicament. We also do so with the hope that an appropriate global response will be formulated, and acted upon, for the sake of future generations. It is the most basic responsibility for every civilization to leave their world in a better condition than that which they inherited from their forbears.

After conducting the Gulf Oil Spill Remediation Conference for over seven months, we can now disseminate the following information with the authority and confidence of those who have thoroughly investigated a crime scene. There are many research articles, investigative reports and penetrating exposes archived at the following website. Particularly those posted from August through November provide a unique body of evidence, many with compelling photo-documentaries, which portray the true state of affairs at the Macondo Prospect in the GOM.

http://phoenixrisingfromthegulf.wordpress.com/

There follows a detailed report on the dire situation in the GOM, and why it affects the entire globe. Some topics:

Dire realities of the methane hydrate predicament

Seismic activity in the GOM and the uptick in earthquakes in the Mississippi River Basin and surrounding region

Gulf of Mexico Subsea Structures May Be in Seismic Danger Zone –

Worsening GOM predicament is reflective of the status quo around the globe
