Tropics active as Danielle weakens, Earl looms and Fiona's in the making
The tropics remain dynamic this weekend, and
we can't rule out threats to the U.S. East Coast during the next week, so let's get to it.
HURRICANE DANIELLE
Danielle has weakened to 105 mph this evening and, according to a report, has bypassed Bermuda without doing much harm.

TROPICAL STORM EARL
Earl has battled through some wind shear today, strengthening to 55 mph in sustained winds. With relaxing wind shear and very warm water in Earl's path the storm should strengthen considerably during the next few days. The National Hurricane Center's official forecast strengthens Earl into a category 3 major hurricane by Tuesday.

TROPICAL STORM FIONA?
Still no Fiona yet, although this low pressure system some 400 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde islands is still expected to become a tropical depression within the next day or so.
