Post TS Andrea forms in the Gulf of Mexico - 2013
The Atlantic season’s first named storm — Tropical Storm Andrea — has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.

A reconnaissance aircraft found tropical-storm force winds this afternoon as well as a closed circulation.

Andrea is moving to the north-northeast and the main threat from this system is drenching rains during the next several days over the Florida peninsula.
