For all my friends stuck in the great frozen north

Spring is coming!

Sitting out on my porch just before dawn this morning - I heard a huge flock of geese heading north!

They were calling away like they were excited!

Come on Myrtle! Hey Henry keep up!

Thought I was getting ready to hear a rousing rendition of O Canada!

We've enjoyed them all winter and now they are heading home.

We've taken good care of them all winter here on our coastal plains and in our rice fields.

Took one or two for the gumbo pot - but all-in-all they should be in fine shape for their trip.

Last year (after Ike) they had a really hard time finding forage due to the salt everywhere - but Mother Nature has made up for it this year.

We're also seeing robins on the ground. Blue birds and Baltimore orioles are arriving daily at the feeder in the back yard. Won't be long until the Monarchs arrive.

So chin up, Yanks! Spring in all her wonderous glory is on her way North!!!!

Good to know Blue thanks for the heads up that they are heading home..

Now that my big sled ride is over I want spring here now, lets go camping

AWWWW! Everybody here needs a little awwwww (and Spring) don't cha know?

Besides - it's a weenie dawg!!
