Well I have Latvian, Lithuianan and Estonian friends in Toronto. Which by the way has a large population of Balts.. They told us about ... The Schmenge brothers (John Candy and Eugene Levy) share with us their Christmas in Leutonia. The Schmege's come from the fictionalized Leutonia.. In Baltic languages.. Lithuiana is Leutuish Leu Estonia = Tonia Leutonia! LOL In the 1970s, Latvian, Estonian and Lithuianan folk music especially in Canada and US was obessed with Accordian Polka music! Thus... The Schmenge brothers (John Candy and Eugene Levy) share with us their Christmas in Leutonia. If one can not laugh at ones self time to time... whats the point of living.. My parents and grand parents didn't find it funny.. but for us 1st generation US/Canadian Balts.. it was a riot of laughter.. still is. Depicts Lativan history which though is tragic one in this film is presented in a Humorous way poking fun at everything Latvians have wittness. Some times you just have to laugh at history and how history plays out. Set Up the Tatched Roof cabin and long haired hippie type guy is Latvia. Lativa sitting on the boarder between Europe (the left of screen) and Russia (the right of screen.) Through out its history has been caught in the Middle of these two Empires. So the Lativan in clip has to endure it all watch his home fill up with rubbish of history LOL Latvietis In this cartoon film Janis Cicermanis has tried to show history of Latvia from the Stone Age up to now. Re: On The Lighter Side There are very few Masterpiece moments of Comedy. This moment from the old Carol Burrentt Show is One of them.
Tim Conway during this famous Moment during the Mama's Family Skit without adoubt isTHE BEST. Filmed Live. Conway goes into improv for no other reason then to crack up the cast. And does! Enjoy!!! Carol Burnett Show outtakes - Tim Conway's Elephant Story Quote: Tim Conway destroys his castmates during a "Mama's Family" sketch on the "Carol Burnett Show" by refusing to let the scene continue until he can finish a story about a circus el... I actually remember seeing it on televison live with my family. My brothers sisters, parents and I were literally on the floor in laughter. |
