 White cockatoo can dance
This is so funny it deserves its own thread so it doesn't get lost with the other animal youtubes. This parrot has an incredible sense of rhythm!

I'll have to check out some of the other related "Snowball"(TM) videos...

oops, Snowball(TM) is a cockatoo, not a parrot - can I change the title or does it matter?

I read a scientifc journal that proved parrots are genetically proned to detect rhythm and frequency. Their intellect is capable of purposefully moving to this rhythm conditioning. It's social behaviourism for them. They apply it in the wild, which is outside a room with music. :D

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn17065-dancing-parrots-could-help-explain-evolution-of-rhythm.html

Now here's something crazy to think about....

FRINGE THOUGHT
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

If its proven to be genetically proned in certain parrots to achieve this ability (to pick up rhythm and purposefully move to it), and we know that parrots are really decendants of reptillian form which have gained feathers for flight and warmblooded-ness. Then perhaps the ability to be manipulated by sound frequencies and act to it (i.e. dancing and making music) is a reptillian trait! A trait that is both a blessing and curse! Art and mind control!

p.s. How is it that I can take something innocent and form something sinister!

I would like to clarify my mind control statement. Mind control doesn't exist. Free will determines that. However, mind influence does. This influence comes through social norms being established through media and education. A person still has the freewill to go against the social norms but there will be consequences for such action. i.e. robbing a store, go to jail.
