Mexico City .- The temporary closure of schools may be a positive response to delay transmission of the virus A-H1N1 and prevent one of the most vulnerable groups, such as children, were infected, said Sen. Lazaro Mazon Alonso del PRD .

The legislature Guerrero said the World Health Organization recommended suspending classes in educational institutions to contain the spread, because that could reduce demand for care between 30 and 50 percent at the peak of the pandemic.The Commission also secretary of Health said that so far 64 thousand have registered 322 cases of infection and 610 deaths, so more efforts are needed to avoid spreading the disease and to conduct further research to vaccines.

In response, urged the Secretary of Health and Public Education amend the 2009-2010 school calendar to count 60 days without classes in public schools as of December first.
