Great analogy, Lynn!
Quote:
What next for Cyprus?

The Cyprus economy is deep in recession, and it is forecast to remain so for the next two years. Its €5.8 billion contribution to the EU bailout program is equivalent to about a third of its GDP. Trying to cover a fraction of that with an austerity program would drive the economy even deeper into the ground, slash revenues and raise borrowing.
Cyprus will have to get creative . One option would be to ask Russia for much more support than simply improving the terms of its existing loan. Russians account for about a third of all deposits in Cypriot banks, and Russian banks have lent heavily to businesses on the island.
But help would come at a price -- possibly a stake in Cyprus' undeveloped offshore gas reserves.
That last sentence is the reason Cyprus was offered waayyy different terms. "Undeveloped offshore gas reserves..."
It always comes down to that with the banksters, doesn't it?
Rule the oil and gas bidness and rule the world.

Cyprus Crisis
Dateline: Thursday 21st March 2013 ------------------------------------
The European Central Bank has raised the stakes by warning the Cypriot govt. that it is considering cutting off emergency liquidity provision to its banks if a bailout with the EU and IMF is not agreed by Monday.
It seems that the ECB is taking this very hardline stance in retaliation for the Cypriot Parliament rejecting its terms (ie: thieving from ordinary people's bank accounts). Another development is that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has told some visiting EU bigwigs that any solution must include Russian participation.
Meanwhile, VTB, Russia's No.2 bank, has said that it is not interested in buying banking assets in Cyprus, as talks continued on whether Russia can provide help to the island in return for equity in its banks. Furthermore, VTB has said that with losses in the "tens of millions of euros" being possible, it would re-examine its business in Cyprus if a bank deposit levy is enforced, with a total shut-down of its operations on the island not being ruled out.
hmm, in about 10 days from now there will be a 4 day holiday, as its Easter. Could there be some sort of global / europe-wide financial reset?

This graph will open the eyes to the real financial status in the US: Please Click in the link to see the Big ¨on scale graph¨ of the ¨derivatives¨ debt
Well that’s a big scary chart. Zerohedge pulled numbers on the biggest 25 banks in and it’s anything but reassuring:
With 9.283 Trillion in depositor funds, it would take only a .002% net shortfall in the banking system to completely exhaust the fund. Let’s assume the banks want to donate 10 years worth of contribution to the fund all at once, right now. That 145 billion would cover a 0.015% devaluation
So far we’ve only talked about the tiny blue bar and the little green bar. The big red bar is another animal entirely, and it’s time we addressed him.
In theory, funds deposited with a broker or in a bank are still your money. In practice, this is not really the case. ...

Breaking the ongoing Cover up of Planet X/Nibiru /pending Poleshift by Weather Channel´s Style:
To close to the ZetaTalk description of the passage of Planet X (1)
Quote:
(through the inner solar system), the nature of this traveling rogue planet (odd orbit started early in its life), where it will come in the solar system (as close as Venus orbit), the effect it might have on Earth's orbit (being drawn in toward the Sun, though ZetaTalk states this is temporary), and catastrophic effects on Earth, including of course the weather.
For those of you who can get this channel, will be worth watching this series as it sure is an indication that the truth is going to be OUTTED. I note they don't have lying NASA on as a spokesperson. Just scientists, who have been repressed and threatened.

CONTAGION! Depositor Haircut Bail-Ins Spread to New Zealand, Gov’t Discussing Cyprus Style Solution for Bank Failure!
Depositor haircut wealth confiscations have just gone from a one-off in Cyprus to the new thing in 2013.
The New Zealand government is reportedly pursuing a policy of Cyprus style depositor haircuts for all future bank failures!
The plan would not limit the haircuts to any percentage, but would steal whatever is necessary from depositors to prop up the failing bank institution: Depositors will overnight have their savings shaved by the amount needed to keep the bank afloat. <snip>
BANK MANAGER VERIFIES CASH WITHDRAWL LIMITS AND REDUCED HOURS COMING TO US BANKS WITHIN 60 DAYS
Just received a call from a highly agitated bank manager who stated that within 60 days, banks will be greatly reducing their hours, days of operation, amount of withdrawals and a requirement to fill out "paperwork" if the amount is questioned by bank officials. <snip>

Re: The Golden Thread, Volume 6.5 2012
Well now, from now on the bigwigs will see it as being acceptable to use the savings of ordinary people to bail out failing banks.
At least 'they' are open and honest about it. I hope the Irish, Spanish, Italians, Portuguese etc are watching... and if they are wealthy enough to be targeted are being very careful in how and where they store their cash reserves.
Edited highlights below, follow the links for the full article.
Cyprus deal is model for future bailouts says top European official.
The deal will see investors with more than €100,000 in the nation’s largest banks forfeit a large chunk of their deposits.
A top European official has said the Cyprus bailout, agreed in last-ditch negotiations over the weekend, should become the bloc's default approach for dealing with ailing lenders.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who chairs the Eurogroup gatherings of the 17 eurozone finance ministers, said in an interview today that banks' owners and investors must be held responsible "before looking at public money or any other instrument coming from the public side."
Dijsselbloem, who is also Dutch Finance minister, said the €10bn Cypriot rescue marked a watershed moment in how to deal with failing banks.
Mr Dijsselbloem's comments came ahead of an announcement by Cyprus' central bank that all the banks in the country except the two biggest will reopen for business on Tuesday, more than a week after they shut down to prevent a run.
Laiki and Bank of Cyprus will remain closed until Thursday, and a withdrawal limit from ATMs of 100 euros ($130) a day will also remain in place until then, the bank said.
Russia, however, responded furiously to the deal - condemning it as 'stealing'. "In my view, the stealing of what has already been stolen continues," Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was quoted by news agencies as telling a meeting of government officials.

Re: The Golden Thread, Volume 6.5 2012
I crushed and fractured the top of my tibia Monday, the tibia is the shin bone for those needing a refresher. I slipped on a bathroom rug that did NOT have a rubber backing, and the lower part of my leg went FORWARD--below the knee. Yup. You read that right. It was horrible to watch, and it hurt as much as it sounds. Evidentially there is a 50-75% chance this will require surgery, and possibly pins, or a cast, or maybe both forms of torture will be used. I will find out Thursday.
Anyone with experience with a knee fracture?
Bah humbug.

Oh, Lynn!
Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Please keep us updated.
I have not fractured my knee but I, too, fell and seriously injured my knee several years ago. Thought it was fractured because it bled through the joint.
To make a long story short, it took nearly 3 months to recover from the injury. I have a torn meniscus which has still not been repaired. The surgery was scheduled twice and canceled twice. The first time my Father died two days before surgery and the second time my dear MIL died a week before the surgery was scheduled.
Needless-to-say, it is a joke in my family that I cannot schedule the surgery again.

Global internet slows after 'biggest attack in history' By Dave Lee
The internet around the world has been slowed down in what security experts are describing as the biggest cyber-attack in history.
A row between a spam-fighting group and hosting firm has sparked retaliation attacks flooding core infrastructure.
It is having an impact on widely used services like Netflix - and experts worry it could escalate to affect banking and email services.
Five national cyber-police-forces are investigating the attacks.
Spamhaus, a group based in both London and Geneva, is a non-profit organisation which aims to help email providers filter out spam and other unwanted content.
To do this, the group maintains a number of blocklists - a database of servers known to be being used for malicious purposes.
Recently, Spamhaus blocked servers maintained by Cyberbunker, a Dutch web host which states it will host anything with the exception of child pornography or terrorism-related material.
Sven Olaf Kamphuis, who claims to be a spokesman for Cyberbunker, said, in a message, that Spamhaus was abusing its position, and should not be allowed to decide "what goes and does not go on the internet".
Spamhaus has alleged that Cyberbunker, in cooperation with "criminal gangs" from Eastern Europe and Russia, is behind the attack.
Cyberbunker has as yet offered no reply to the BBC when contacted directly.

Can you acquire some "Bone Knit" or Comfrey plants? Take leaves and pulp two placing it on the break, cover with another two whole leaves and wrap in cellophane for 8 hrs, or 24hrs using a bandage. Take a good source of Magnesium and Calcium powder. Stress the leg as much as possible between rests. Just be sure it has been set properly (not easy to find a Dr who knows how...)

Re: The Golden Thread, Volume 6.5 2012
This should be criminal both on Monsatan & CONgress
MONSANTO PROTECTION ACT SLIPS SILENTLY THROUGH CONGRESS
The US House of Representatives quietly passed a last-minute addition to the Agricultural Appropriations Bill for 2013 last week - including a provision protecting genetically modified seeds from litigation in the face of health risks.
The rider, which is officially known as the Farmer Assurance Provision, has been derided by opponents of biotech lobbying as the “Monsanto Protection Act,” as it would strip federal courts of the authority to immediately halt the planting and sale of genetically modified (GMO) seed crop regardless of any consumer health concerns.
The provision, also decried as a “biotech rider,” should have gone through the Agricultural or Judiciary Committees for review. Instead, no hearings were held, and the piece was evidently unknown to most Democrats (who hold the majority in the Senate) prior to its approval as part of HR 993, the short-term funding bill that was approved to avoid a federal government shutdown.
Senator John Tester (D-MT) proved to be the lone dissenter to the so-called Monsanto Protection Act, though his proposed amendment to strip the rider from the bill was never put to a vote.
As the US legal system functions today, and largely as a result of prior lawsuits, the USDA is required to complete environmental impact statements (EIS) prior to both the planting and sale of GMO crops. The extent and effectiveness to which the USDA exercises this rule is in itself a source of serious dispute.
The reviews have been the focus of heated debate between food safety advocacy groups and the biotech industry in the past. In December of 2009, for example, Food Democracy Now collected signatures during the EIS commenting period in a bid to prevent the approval of Monsanto’s GMO alfalfa, which many feared would contaminate organic feed used by dairy farmers; it was approved regardless.
Previously discovered pathogens in Monsanto’s Roundup Ready corn and soy are suspected of causing infertility in livestock and to impact the health of plants.
So, just how much of a victory is this for biotech companies like Monsanto? Critics are thus far alarmed by the very way in which the provision made it through Congress -- the rider was introduced anonymously as the larger bill progressed through the Senate Appropriations Committee. Now, groups like the Center for Food Safety are holding Senator Mikulski (D-MD), chairman of that committee, to task and lobbing accusations of a “backroom deal” with the biotech industry.
As the Washington Times points out, the provision’s success is viewed by many as a victory by companies like Syngenta Corp, Cargill, Monsanto and affiliated PACs that have donated $7.5 million to members of Congress since 2009, and $372,000 to members of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
It remains unclear whether the bill’s six-month expiration means that the provision will be short-lived. Regardless, Food Democracy Now has begun a campaign calling on US President Barack Obama to veto the Continuing Resolution spending bill, which seems unlikely as HR 933 includes a sweeping amount of government funding. http://rt.com/usa/monsanto-congress-silently-slips-830/
Well, Well, Well look what turned up in Australia's MSM
You have to watch this!
I have talked to Charley many times for hours at a time on the phone. He seems like a very honest person to me. He even wrote about one of my experences in his last book. He has four books out and they are the type that you just can't put down.
Thanks all! I am heading off to try to sleep before the Dr tomorrow morning..

Lynn, Get better soon! I scrapted my chen down to the bone while walking down a pallet that broke about 43 years ago and it still bothers me to this day.
