Sky, I await that flash of light with interest... I wonder how long before it comes?

re: the virus pandemic, the ultimate tragedy has struck someone in his 30s from San Antonio in Texas who thought it was all a hoax and attended a Covid Party where one of the people was someone who had the virus. Shortly before his death the deceased told a hospital nurse that he had made a 'terrible mistake'.

Let it be a stark lesson to everyone else that no matter whether its natural or 'man made' it is real - and potentially fatal.

I've reviewed all the messages since I was last here, some very heavy stuff.

Whilst I have no way of validating any of this, what I do know is that this is not the first time I've heard of such allegations. Indeed much of this (as a general theme) was talked about in the webbot reports over a decade ago (before 2009). Something that the webbots revealed is the discovery of a ship that had mostly children as passengers - missing children on their way to hell. It might be that this ship has already been apprehended, I do not know.

Here in the UK the Covid pandemic lockdown is slowly easing. It is looking like we face a devastating drop in economic activity that will see potentially as many as 50,000 jobs lost. Especially in the centre of London, in industries like hotels, travel, coffee shops / other eateries, theatre....

Partly this is because of the lack of tourists. So many jobs were dependent on visitors coming here 'en masse' and now they are not here so the shops are closing and the jobs are lost.

Another aspect however, is people working from home. Previously these people worked in offices and at lunch they would visit local food outlets, etc. The talk (in fearful tones) is of a 'polo mint' (or doughnut) recovery with suburban areas busy again whilst central areas are significantly quieter than normal.

I have not yet been back to central London - I very much want to go there but other people at home* are horrified at the thought of me using public transport. I do not want to drive. Nor cycle. No way!

*(This includes people who were told by the government that because of their health they must stay at home until August, here in the UK most of these people are receiving weekly food parcels so that they do not even need to go out shopping for food).

I should point out that I am very much a transport person, with (amongst other things) a YouTube channel with films of bus trains and much more (all filmed by me!) dating back to the late 1970s.

A news story that in many ways has surprised me is that the English City of Leicester has been revealed as a hotbed of slavery. I had thought that most high fashion clothing nowadays comes from countries like Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, and whilst this is true to a certain extent some of this clothing also comes from factories in Leicester. A typical feature of such factories is that people (usually ladies) work long hours, in unpleasant conditions and are very badly paid. These factories are sometimes downright dangerous and the scenes of severe fires with mass fatalities.

Many (but not all) of the people involved in this trade in Leicester actually come from the Indian subcontinent. A recent report details how their working hours are falsified so that they can be paid well below the legally mandated minimum wage. It is also claimed that some of these workers are illegal immigrants who are not even being paid. Such people cannot simply go to the police and ask for help as they will end up being deported.

Finally on the topic of the virus, information coming out of Italy suggests that many recovered survivors are still unwell. This virus is a really nasty critter which affects many parts of the body and also damages the immune system - making the victim more susceptible to other illnesses.

Hello everyone,

Something to ponder...

Early in 2018 I had the most terrible few days of illness, and on reviewing the symptoms it does sound somewhat like the covid illness sweeping the planet at the moment.

I don't keep all the emails I have ever sent or received but I kept these because of those highly strange few days of sickness. The way I felt was far and away beyond anything I've ever experienced before. Maybe one day I should have a blood test to see if I have covid anti-bodies - one of my distant cousins was unwell in late 2019 (with many typical Covid-19 symptoms) and she now has anti-bodies from Covid-19!

The text below comes from two emails, a few days apart. Spelling errors have not been corrected. The ice cream was a Tesco exclusive flavour and alas is no longer available.
