Shock! New types of influenza found in Ukraine
MIGnews.com.ua
Besides swine influenza, AN3N2, AN2N2 and group B have been found in the territory of Ukraine. In particular, at present at least 8 different viruses are circulating in the territory of Bukovyna. Such conclusions are made by experts of regional sanitary epidemiological stations following the results of almost 6,000 studies on the identification of acute respiratory viral infections, said the chief state sanitary doctor of the Chernivtsi Region Oleksandr Svitlichny on November 11 at the briefing.
According to him, all the acute respiratory viral infections, which are currently circulating in the territory of Bukovina, are treated. However, due to the fact that they collided, clinical disease and the tactics of his treatment change. Therefore, a doctor needs to know exactly which virus is detected in the patient.
Among the viruses that are registered in Bukovina, Oleksander Svitlychny told about AH3N2, AH2N2, AH1N1, a large group of influenza B, parainfluenza viruses of three types, reports proUA.com.
Ministry of Health notes the lack of vaccines against seasonal types of influenza and influenza A (H1N1) in the world, the first deputy chief sanitary doctor Ludmyla Muharska told about it in the air of TVi IV channel on November 11
. She noted that the Ministry of Health asked the World Health Organization with a request to reserve the vaccine for Ukraine. Also Ludmyla Muharska stressed that during the epidemic there is a definite strategy for vaccination of the population.
"When the active epidemic has begun, population does not need mass vaccination, and it is absolutely correct opinion, and we support it," - she said and added that the vaccination of risk groups with a purpose to have to individual protection or closed groups is necessary, Ukrainian News reported.
As a reminder, experts believe vaccination against influenza A (H1N1) is possible during the epidemic.
Ministry of Health has confirmed 213 deaths of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections as of November 11 in 21 Regions, Kyiv and Crimea, Health Ministry states. Out of 213 deaths 24 fatal cases are recorded over the past day, Ukrainian News reported.
Since October 29 81 cases of death has been recorded in the Lviv Region, 30 - in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region, 22 - in the Chernivtsi Region, 20 - in the Ternopil Region, 8 – in the Kyiv and Khmelnitsky Regions, and 7 - in the Rivne and Volyn Regions, 6 - in Kyiv, 4 - in the Vinnytsa Region, 3 - in the Donetsk Region, 2 - in the Transcarpathian, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Kharkiv and Chernihiv Regions, and 1 - in Crimea, Odessa, Kherson, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Mykolayiv and Sumy Regions.
In general, since October 29, 1 mn 192,481 people have become sick with influenza and acute respiratory viral infections. Since the beginning of the epidemic 62,462 people have been hospitalized, 25,968 people have been released. In Kyiv 83,243 people ill with influenza and acute respiratory viral infections are recorded.http://mignews.com.ua/en/categ342/articles/378527.html

Hungary Influenza border is closed
A spokeswoman for the Hungarian Ministry of Health Orsolya Bálintová today in response to the request of the Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF) of the said yesterday that Hungary Influenza Ukrainian border is closed.

According to the Hungarian news agency commercial Független Hírűgynökség spokeswoman said that such action is necessary because the influenza virus type A (H1N1) is already present in Hungary.

Bálintová explained that according to data from the last week in Hungary recorded 16 700 new influenza virus-infected, but the Ukrainian border in the county Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg confirmed no such case.

Hungarian Ministry of Health continues to advise people that they can be vaccinated against the so-called porcine influenza. http://noviny.joj.sk/prasacia-chripk...nezatvori.html

Influenza vaccine A/N1N1 in Ukraine will be at the end of the year

Influenza vaccine A/N1N1 may appear in Ukraine in the required quantities at the end of this year or early next.

This was reported by the deputy chief state sanitary doctor of Ukraine Lyudmyla MUHARSKAYA TVi in the air, to the press-service channel.

She said that today the world has a definite shortage of the vaccine against the pandemic, as well as against seasonal flu, because the demand for it increased significantly after the announcement of the WHO pandemic. L. MUHARSKAYA added that the registration in our country now, there are two vaccines - Canada and Russia. "In Europe, registered three vaccines, they may be served at registration in Ukraine", - noted the deputy chief medical officer.

L. MUHARSKAYA stressed that our country is not too late to vaccination: "We are talking about a pandemic, the pandemic - it is not for one month, not two months, a year and a half." The doctor added that the vaccine will be relevant both now and in the spring, when projected to the second wave of the epidemic, and the next fall, when it may be a third wave.

The peculiarity of the current epidemic of influenza and acute respiratory disease in Ukraine L. MUHARSKAYA called a rapid increase in morbidity, when a few days the number of patients increased in geometric progression. According to her, in past years was recorded approximately 25 thousand new cases per day, today - at 100-112 thousand. On weekends, the situation has improved, but partly due to the fact that fewer patients consulted a doctor, and therefore the number of patients were recorded at 35 thousand every day, and on Monday it was already 60 thousand new cases of flu on Tuesday - 70 th, stated L. MUHARSKAYA.

"This suggests that the virus is circulating in Ukraine, to which the population has no immunity to seasonal influenza because the Ukrainians have some degree of immunity," - added the expert.
At the same time, she stressed that vaccination against influenza is not mandatory. "We know about protivovaktsinalnyh mood" - recognized the deputy chief sanitary doctor, and stressed that doctors will carry out explanatory work among the population, especially among high risk groups.

Cabinet requests the President to agree on the allocation of 1 billion UAH. against influenza

The Cabinet appealed to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko with a request to sign without delay the changes to the state budget for 2009 to allocate 1 billion UAH. to fight the epidemic of influenza.

This is stated in the circulation to the head of state government, UNIAN reported in the Office for Relations with the media, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the authors of the address at this time in the country a critical situation with the financing of activities aimed at preventing the spread of flu and colds, as a result of not signing the Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine" On State Budget of Ukraine for 2009 "(to meet the needs of the State in vaccines, drugs and equipment necessary for the diagnosis of the disease, to prevent the spread of influenza) and the stop of some decrees of the Cabinet of Ministers of Presidential Decree of November 10, number 916.

The Cabinet notes that the Ukraine is rapidly spreading influenza morbidity, in particular the type A/H1N1 pandemic and SARS. In particular, starting from October 29, influenza and SARS struck by 1 million 122 thousand 188 people, of which almost 30 thousand children and more than 500 pregnant women, 189 men died (as of November 11 - UNIAN).

In the Cabinet of Ministers assure that they are taking all necessary measures to combat the epidemic, prevent the further spread of the dangerous virus among the population and maintain the most expensive for the man - his life and health.

As is known, are reminded to use, on the initiative of the Cabinet on November 3 by the Verkhovna Rada adopted amendments to the 2009 Budget, which envisions to UAH 1 billion. to fight the scourge that has afflicted our entire country. In including the acquisition of modern medical equipment (such as apparatus for artificial respiration), the timely application of which will make it possible to save many lives, as well as for vaccination against pandemic and seasonal influenza and the acquisition for that purpose vaccines will require substantial financial resources, highlighted in the government.

However, as at 11 November, the President has not signed the Act, emphasized in circulation. In addition, it adds, by presidential decree of November 10, number 916 stopped the action the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 14, № 1092 on bringing in foreign loan in 2009 to provide treatment and preventive care institutions and other equipment, vehicles, medical products and drugs under the state guarantee for an amount not exceeding 500 million dollars. According to the Government, in accordance with that decision provided, inter alia, to purchase the most advanced medical equipment necessary for emergency medical care newborns, including premature.

"In this situation the government is unable to implement activities to provide timely and high quality medical care", - emphasized in treatment.

In this regard, requests the Cabinet of the President as the guarantor of the Constitution of Ukraine, rights and freedoms of man and citizen, should immediately sign a law on 1 billion UAH. to fight the epidemic of influenza and to reverse the decree of November 10, in 2009, number 916. http://economics.unian.net/rus/detail/25986

Ukraine flu death toll keeps climbing
http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show ... mbing.html
13 Nov 2009

The death toll from a flu outbreak continued to climb in Ukraine on Friday, as government officials for the first time declined to make public a daily update on infections from the virulent strain swine flu. A total of 239 Ukrainians had died from flu or flu-related symptoms as counted from October 29, with 26 persons losing their lives since Thursday, according to the latest data made public by Ukraine's Ministry of Health.

Kiev on Friday for the first time since the October 29 outbreak of widespread flu infections did not make public data on changes to numbers of persons dead or infected from swine flu.

There was no need to do so, officials said.

"Ukraine is suffering from a pandemic of swine flu, and at this moment there is no importance to how many cases (of swine flu) actually are confirmed in tests, as all will be treated the same way," said Vasyl Lazorishinets, deputy health minister, according to an Interfax news agency report.

Jukka Pukkila, leader of a World Health Organization mission to Ukraine, speaking at the same press conference, said the former Soviet republic's swine flu outbreak was under control.

"According to our preliminary findings, there is no difference between infection rates of the flu A/H1N1 in Ukraine, as compared to other countries," he said.

Seventeen Ukrainians had died, and 79 were infected with swine flu, according to statistics released by Ukraine's government on Wednesday. Prior to Friday the Ministry of Health had updated data concerning swine flu on a daily basis.

An estimated 1.25 million Ukrainians have been infected with flu, of whom 65,000 were hospitalised, and some 450 in severe or critical condition, according to the Health Ministry counts made public Friday.

Doctors in Ukraine's western Chernovetsky region, near the centre of the flu outbreak, said lab tests showed at least some of the fatalties appeared to be caused by a flu dissimilar to both common flu, and swine flu.

"The virus causing the deaths is extremely aggressive, it doesn't first infect the throat (as is common in flu), but strikes the lungs directly," said Dr. Viktor Bachinsky, according to a ZIK news agency web report.

Ukrainian health workers in the neighbouring Ivano-Frankivsk province were for the first time treating persons suffering from complications from severe flu infections with pure oxygen, the Interfax news agency reported.

Friday's confirmation of continuing and widening flu infections throughout Ukraine came in the face of declarations earlier this week by Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, claiming the worst of the flu outbreak had passed.

Tymoshenko, speaking at a morning press conference, blamed President Viktor Yushchenko, one of her rivals in next January's presidential election, for problems controlling the flu, and rising dead and sick counts.

"Unfortunately for the last eight days the President has not signed into law 1 billion hyrvnas (122 million dollars) to fight this epidemic," Tymoshenko said in comments aired by the 1+1 TV channel.

"From this point forward every person that gets sick or dies, the president will take personal reponsibility," she said.

Yushchenko has blocked the funding, saying the government budget lacks sufficient money to cover the emergency health spending.

Comment: From the Polish media:

Ukraine

Ukraine does not want to talk about avian influenza A/H1N1

13/Nov/09

We will not inform about the number of patients with a new influenza - announced on Friday, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health. Last message on the number of fatalities and infections says the flu has already died and 239 people fell ill with 1 million 253 thousand. people.

According to Deputy Minister of Health Basil Łazoryszync publishing data on the number of patients with influenza A/H1N1 is not necessary.

- Ukraine and so there is a pandemic in the area and not playing the role, if cases of A/H1N1 reported. All should be treated the same - policies he said.

In Ukraine, not only refrains from providing information about the number of patients but also closed the only private laboratory in the country perform free tests for the presence of A/H1N1 virus.

239 victims

On Thursday evening, the Ministry of Health published the current balance of victims and cases "of influenza, acute respiratory infections and their complications (pneumonia, etc.). Patients is more than 1 million 253 thousand. people, including 61 thousand. sick during the day. There have been 239 deaths, including 26 during the day. These data include disease reported since October 30 announced the start of an influenza epidemic.

As for the new flu is the information transmitted by the Ukrainian authorities are divergent. On Thursday, Lyubov Nekrasov, physician in chief of the Central Sanitary-epidemiological stations of Ukraine informed that the so-called. Swine flu 16 people died and 85 sick

A day earlier, authorities spoke of 14 deaths. On Friday, Deputy Łazoryszynec again spoke of 14 fatalities.

Hiding the truth

Government policy on the A/H1N1 met with fierce criticism. - They hide from the public the real size of the epidemic of influenza A/H1N1 - said the chief of staff of the NGO "Kyiv against influenza," Andriy Palczewski.

This organization was founded at the initiative of one of the city's clinics, which are closed on Friday lab.

Palczewski believes that given by the ministry of health information does not correspond to the truth. - In the United States within 6 months of the epidemic virus A/H1N1 infected 22 million people, of whom about 4 thousand. died. But the U.S. has 20 laboratories, while we (in Ukraine), only 3 - stressed in an interview with news agency UNIAN.

Palczewski would not say how much his view of people have influenza A/H1N1.

Staying in the country since the mission of last week, the World Health Organization believes that the new virus has fallen victim to the majority of people with symptoms of influenza and its complications reported from the end of October to clinics and hospitals.

Closed the laboratory clinic Eurolab, diagnose influenza A/H1N1
13/Nov/09

In Kiev today closed the most powerful in Ukraine laboratory diagnosis of influenza virus A/H1N1 clinic Eurolab, do the test for free.

This UNIAN said in an interview with the founder and President of Eurolab, Head of Staff of Kiev against influenza Andrei Palchevskyy.

"I think this is due to the fact that we fix the real scope of epidemics" swine flu. In recent days, appealed to us more than 100 thousand people, many of them tests were done for free. Close laboratory - is simply unacceptable and criminal in the era of the epidemic. We believe that this is a settling of scores ",
- said a Palchevskyy.

He expressed the belief that officials want to reduce the real scope of epidemics "of swine flu in Ukraine, and questioned the veracity of the information the Ministry of Health on the extent of the epidemic and the real number of cases of swine flu. "For example, in America for 6 months of the epidemic" swine "influenza A/H1N1 virus were infected 22 million people, about 4 thousand were killed, among them 540 children. But in the United States more than 20 laboratories, and we have only 3, "- said a Palchevskyy.

According to him, the laboratory Eurolab closed municipal sanitary-epidemic station, for, what, allegedly, not all is well with the documents. "But we have been working for 5 years. And no problems. We - the only in Ukraine, a private laboratory diagnosed influenza virus A/H1N1, »- said A. Palchevskyy.

Help UNIAN. The purpose of the public initiative headquarters of People "of Kiev against the flu" - to reduce the incidence of influenza among the population and to inform about the features of the disease and preventive measures. One of the first initiatives organized by the national headquarters with the support of the charity fund «Eurolab», was the organization of free items for testing influenza A/H1N1 in the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Kiev.

Singularities of influenza A/H1N1 and course of disease can be found on a specially created website: www.griph1n1.com.ua

Post Re: Ukraine: FLU & ARI exceeds a quarter of a million
Fragile Care Worsened Swine Flu in Ukraine
By ELLEN BARRY
Published: November 13, 2009
LVIV, Ukraine — When patients began arriving in Vyacheslav Bonder’s intensive care unit two weeks ago, their lungs so saturated with blood that they could barely gasp, the only thing he could compare it to was a field hospital in wartime. As soon as he hooked one patient up to a ventilator, a second and third would appear in the doorway.

By that time, hospitals were clearing wards to make room for a wave of pneumonia cases, and people were crowding into drugstores to buy whatever they could get their hands on. Rumors were circulating that the government had ordered the city aerially sprayed with chemicals, to cure Lviv (pronounced luh-VEEVE) of disease or, in a grimmer version, to exterminate its carriers.

The panic lifted almost as quickly as it had arrived, and the World Health Organization announced Friday that the swine flu illnesses and deaths so far in Ukraine — 265 fatalities nationwide, with 87 in the Lviv region — were statistically no worse than those in other countries. But what happened here has drawn rapt attention from experts bracing for the epidemic to hit Europe, and especially the fragile health care systems of countries of the former Soviet Union.

Early findings are that serious cases mounted because the sick avoided hospitalization until their illness was dangerously advanced, stockpiles of Tamiflu were locked in centralized locations and the supply of ventilators fell short, said David Mercer, of the World Health Organization’s European regional office.

“It’s not like this caught us by surprise; we’ve known for months that this was coming,” said Dr. Mercer, who heads the office’s communicable disease unit. “We’ve been working very hard on plans, but sometimes the battle plan doesn’t survive the first contact with the enemy. We’ve had to change a lot of things on the fly.”

With the worst of the health care crisis here past, many in Ukraine’s western provinces are trying to puzzle out what led to it. Doctors blame the news media and politicians for spreading fear and misinformation. The mayors of Ternopyl and Lviv, which reported their first deaths from atypical pneumonia on Oct. 12 and 19, have complained that the federal epidemiological service refused to act without laboratory confirmation that the virus was present, delaying serious measures by nearly two weeks.

Others point to more remote causes, among them the desperate poverty of Ukraine’s health care system 20 years after the Soviet Union collapsed.

In Lviv, senior doctors earn a monthly salary of 1,500 hryvnas, approximately $184, pay so low that many physicians leave their practices to work as home health aides in Western Europe. Though health care is officially free, patients typically pay a stream of cash bribes for services as large as X-rays and as small as blood tests or linen changes.

Ukrainians rely heavily on home remedies, and that is what they did for the third and fourth weeks of October, resorting to garlic and lemons and waiting so long to check into hospitals that by the time they did, many were beyond treatment.

“Medicine is underdeveloped in Ukraine, and people don’t believe in it — it’s a vicious circle,”
said Oleh Berezuk, a physician who heads the mayor’s administration in Lviv. “In a mature country, if you get sick you will not say, ‘Nobody can help me.’ ”

Now, the doctors at Lviv’s main pulmonological hospital have the shaky good humor of people who have come through a crisis, though portions of their hospital are clammy and unlighted (“to scare the viruses,” one doctor joked), and some of their breathing equipment dates from Soviet times.

Two weeks ago, though, doctors here thought they were looking at a medical mystery: the deaths of healthy young people — not the drunks or addicts they usually see — with lungs so inflamed that they resembled liver. Dr. Bonder recalls the numb realization that his ordinary protocol for treating pneumonia was having no impact at all.

“You would come in to work and the next time you looked at your watch it was midnight,” said Dr. Bonder, who heads the intensive care unit. “You didn’t even think what could happen next.”

Nurses and doctors were falling ill at an alarming rate, in part because of shortages of gloves and disinfectant. Irina Mykychak, the assistant director of Lviv’s regional medical department, said around 3,500 medical professionals fell ill, of whom 300 were hospitalized and 4 died.

When they did suspect H1N1, physicians were stuck in a Catch-22. Though the government had stockpiled Tamiflu in preparation for an outbreak they expected later in the year, the drug was available only at the region’s single infectious disease station — and only with proof that a patient had H1N1. Obtaining proof was a three-to-four-day process that required that samples be sent to Kiev, said Lyubomir Rak, the hospital’s director.

Nadia Rudnitskaya, chief of pulmonology, was carefully putting the pieces together. On Oct. 27, she examined the body of a 32-year-old man — the latest in a series of four deaths from four parts of western Ukraine that, as she put it, “shouldn’t have happened.” Dr. Rudnitskaya gathered her samples together and appealed urgently to Kiev.

Right then the logjam broke: The next day the governor ordered a quarantine and released the emergency stockpile of Tamiflu to clinics and hospitals. A day after that, Prime Minister Yulia V. Tymoshenko announced on television that the virus had “reached epidemic threshold,” and all of Ukraine was talking about H1N1.

“It was a riddle,” Dr. Rudnitskaya said. “There was an answer.”

For some, it came too late. Marta and Nazar Martin insisted that their mother, Galina, 43, check into a hospital on Oct. 23, after her cough worsened into shallow, labored panting. A dentist, she had been treating herself with intravenous antibiotics and flu medications, as she had always done before.

“No one knew there was an epidemic,” said Marta, 18. “Nothing was said, not at work, not on television.”

The hospital offered no answers either. Doctors first prescribed antibiotics for bronchitis, then punctured Ms. Martin’s spinal column to test for meningitis and encephalitis, then gave her an M.R.I. to rule out a brain tumor. With every new prescription, her children scraped up the money and set off to find a pharmacy where it was available, Marta said.

“A poor person would just die,” she said. “They will not start a medication until you pay for it.”
On Oct. 29, when information about H1N1 flooded the region, doctors and nurses showed up wearing masks for the first time, Nazar said. He watched incredulously; his mother had already declined so much that she was “half a corpse,” he said. After she died, the next day, samples from her body were sent to be tested for swine flu.

Her children estimate they paid 35,000 hryvna, or about $4,300, in cash payments to nurses and doctors during the week she spent in the hospital. The more they hear about swine flu, the angrier they get.

“Why didn’t they take measures before then?” said Nazar Martin, 19. “I’m interested in knowing what they were thinking. They took this seriously only when people began to die, when the death statistics began to rise. Where were they before then?”

“It’s on their conscience,” he said, of the medical authorities. “They should have done something to prevent it.”

Armageddon Has Begun

A Tale of Two Stories: The European BioWar outbreak and the censoring of it by the mainstream news media.

The biggest story on the Planet today is the outbreak of a very serious Advanced Biological War virus in Europe. The second biggest story on the Planet is the suppression of this story for almost two weeks by the corporate owned mainstream news media.

There is a lot we know and a lot that we can only speculate on about what is unfolding in Central Europe. We know that in mid-October, less than a month ago, there was a growing number of cases of what many thought was Swine Flu (A/H1N1) in the western part of the Ukraine. We know that many hundreds if not thousands of people in western Ukraine witnessed low flying light airplanes aerosol spraying something over Ukrainian cities during the days of October 29, 2009 and October 31, 2009. We know that beginning the night of October 29th, massive numbers of people begin to get very sick. We know that the Ukraine government issued a statement denying that it was doing any aerial spraying to combat the growing disease or authorizing any spraying over Ukrainian cities. We know that by October 30th, the Ukrainian authorities closed all schools for three weeks and banded public gatherings.

We do NOT know what disease the people were/are coming down with. We do know that doctors are describing the disease as Pneumonic Plague, or as some type of hemorrhagic fever, or as hemorrhagic influenza, or as hemorrhagic pneumonia. We know that the illness, whatever it is, does not appear to be A/H1N1. We do not know if the disease is a recombination of A/H1N1 with other viruses or some totally different virus or if it is in fact a virus. We know that the World Health Organization (WHO) has had several days to sequence the genes of the disease but has failed to release this data.

We know that WHO has NOT called for the quarantining of the Ukraine or the shutdown of all global travel to/from the area of infection and that this is the same thing that they did when Mexican Swine Flu (A/H1N1) first broke out and that the failure to contain that virus early on ensured its spread throughout the world.

We know that the internal temperature of the lungs of those with a terminal case of what many are calling 'Ukrainian Plague' is often from 130F to 135F. We do know that autopsies show that the lungs are filled with blood, and are black in color, and that the lung tissue has turned to mush. We know that patients who first show any signs of illness usually crash in less than 48 hours, sometimes the same day.

We know that the disease was spreading by about 200,000 per day but that this has slowed to about 100,000 day now, in the Ukraine, as people take extraordinary steps to contain the spread of the disease. We know that well over one and a third million people in the Ukraine are very ill with the disease (according to published official sources) and that over 60,000 are hospitalized in serious to critical condition. We know that the disease has a very high transmission rate with a likely low amount of viral (if it is in fact a virus) material needed to cause an infection. We know that the official reports of deaths are under 300 in the Ukraine. We also know that it is normal for hospital admissions of people with ARI (acute respiratory infection) to have a fatality rate of from 5% to 10%. We know that non-official sources were reporting over 3,000 deaths several days ago and that this number is more in tune with the 5-10% fatality rate than the official figures.

We do not know what effective treatments are for this illness. We do know that young adults seem to be more in danger of this illness. We suspect that 'cytokine storming' similar to that in the 1918 Spanish Flu, that killed approximately 50 million people, is taking place.

We know from official Ukrainian Health Ministry reports that the illness does not test out as Mexican Swine Flu (A/H1N1). We do not know if the existing Swine Flu vaccine has any effect, but based on the non-positive response to Swine Flu in testing, we suspect that the vaccine is ineffective as the viral protean shell is different than A/H1N1 (if in fact it is a virus that causes the illness).

We know that the illness has spread to Poland, where over one quarter of a million people are now very ill. We know that it has spread to Belarus and to Hungary and elsewhere in central Europe. We know that 900,000 people are said to have Swine Flu in Norway but we do not know if this is related to Ukraine Plague in any way.

We know that on November 8th a South African site (fto.co.za) carried the following:

"Suspicious aircraft were forced to land. A US operated (Russian-made long-range heavy transport) AN-124 changed its call sign from civilian to military which then triggered a response from the IAF (Indian Air Force) upon entering Pakistani air space (forcing) the plane to land in Mumbai while (a) second one was forced down by Nigerian fighter jets that also arrested the crew."

"According to reports, China's People's Liberation Army Air Force contacted the Indian and Nigerian intelligence officials about the presence of these US operated Ukrainian aircraft amidst growing concern that the United States was spreading 'biological agents' in the Earth's atmosphere, which some Chinese officials believed to be an attempt to (commit) mass genocide via the spread of H1N1 swine flu."

These aircraft "were carrying 'waste disposal' systems that could spray up to 45,000kg (nearly 100,000 pounds) of aerial type mist from sophisticated....nano pipes" in the planes' wings - called chemtrails.

We know that Baxter International Pharmaceuticals sent 72 kilos of human influenza H3N2 vaccine materials to 16 labs in European nations which contained live H5N1 Bird Flu viruses. We know that this was only discovered when a Czech lab tested the material on several ferrets (ferrets have a similar respiratory system to humans) and all of the ferrets died in short order. We know that Baxter claimed that this was human error. We also know that such a 'human error' is basically impossible with the containment protocols in place at Baxter and any other modern biolabs using Biosafety Level 3 (BLS-3) lab technology.

We know that in mid-August a Joseph Moshe, who is a Mossad biological warfare expert, called in to Dr. A. True Ott's national radio talk show and reported that Baxter was getting ready to release a deadly plague from its Ukrainian lab and that he was shortly meeting with US Attorneys in Los Angles to give evidence about this. We know that shortly thereafter Moshe was apprehended by Federal agents and LA police and taken to the Israeli Consulate. We know that he was quickly flown to Israel and that no further word has come from him.

We know that over the last three or so years a large number of biological experts, from a number of places all over the world, have died strange deaths and that this has been commented on by various publications in the past.

We know that the sudden appearance of Mexican Swine Flu (A/H1N1) virtually had to have been a release from a biological warfare lab. We know that A/H1N1 has gene sequences from three different types (American, Asian, and African) of Swine Flu, of Bird Flu, of two different types of human seasonal flu, and of Spanish Flu and that such a recombination is so unlikely in nature as to be virtually impossible. We know that the WHO policies of not requiring a major quarantine of Mexico ensured that A/H1N1 would spread throughout the world.

We know that the current Swine Flu "Vaccine" is almost totally untested, and that the manufactures are protected from lawsuits for even deliberate acts that result in deaths and that nations acquiring the vaccines are required to sign contracts agreeing not to release negative information on the "vaccine" to the public. We know that published additives to the "vaccine" include highly dangerous-to-human-health substances.

We know that the corporate owned mainstream news media (with strong links to global banking families) have censored this story in a way that has never happen before. We know that the outbreak of a unknown but deadly and very rapidly spreading disease in Europe is the largest story on Earth but that it is NOT being reported on.

Post Re: Ukraine: FLU & ARI exceeds a quarter of a million
More from same thread on GLP...

------------------
Latest reports of what is being called a deadly Swine Flu outbreak in Ukraine according to on sight reports appear to be a political concoction by a threatened government to avoid election defeat and possibly declare martial law. The details indicate how convenient the current WHO "Swine Flu" H1N1 "pandemic" scare is for regimes in trouble. Worldwide media reports in recent days have painted a picture of Ukraine as being under the Black Plague or worse. One of the most egregious panic-mongers has been Pittsburgh Swine Flu "mapper" Dr Henry Niman who earlier falsely predicted H5N1 Avian Flu would mutate into a deadly human-to-human pandemic. It didn't.

Niman's map of the spread of alleged H1N1 Swine Flu since April has given WHO, the US Government and CNN and major media a convenient graphic to create the image of a new type of "bubonic plague" threatening mankind unless we react with massive doses of untested vaccines from such unscrupulous pharma bigs like GlaxoSmithKline or Novartis or Roche with its dangerous Tamiflu drugs.

Early on Niman reported about events in Ukraine: "The rapid rise in reported infections, hospitalizations, and deaths in the past few days raise concerns that the virus is transmitting very efficientlythe spike in fatalities and the frequency in hemorrhagic cases in Ukraine have raised concerns." Niman added the alarming note, "The number of infected patients has almost doubled to just under million, compared to the report two days ago."

That's pretty scary stuff. It conjures images of the reports of the Black Death in 1348 which is said to have killed up to 60% of Europe's population. Though that history has been challenged, the image as well as the equally terrifying if incorrect panic image of the so-called Spanish Flu of 1918, are being applied in Ukraine.

Reality check?

The WHO, the de facto criminal organization responsible for declaration of the H1N1 Pandemic last summer, allowing Governments like the USA and Ukraine to declare martial law and a national state of emergency, suspending all rights and imposing arrests and detentions, has validated the dubious Ukraine claims of out-of-control spread of Swine Flu. A WHO press statement November 3 declared, "Laboratory testing in Ukraine has confirmed pandemic H1N1 influenza virus in samples taken from patients in two of the most affected regions. As the pandemic virus has rapidly become the dominant influenza strain worldwide, it can be assumed that most cases of influenza in Ukraine are caused by the H1N1 virus."

The WHO added, "The outbreak in Ukraine may be indicative of how the virus can behave in the northern hemisphere during the winter season, particularly in health care settings typically found in Eastern Europe. Given the potential significance of this outbreak as an early warning signal, WHO commends the government of Ukraine for its transparent reporting and open sharing of samples." The samples have been sent to the WHO Mill Hill Influenza Reference Lab in London, not exactly inspiring confidence in a scientifically honest report given the record of UK health authorities in manipulating data to please the vaccine giants like GlaxoSmithKline.

WHO "strongly recommends early treatment with the antiviral drugs, oseltamivir or zanamivir, for patients who meet treatment criteria, even in the absence of a positive laboratory test confirming H1N1 infection." That means Tamiflu, the highly dangerous drug whose major shareholder includes former Pentagon head Don Rumsfeld. And it means GlaxoSmithKline, maker of the reportedly equally dangerous rival Relenza drug. The drugs produce precisely the symptoms of severe lung complications found in flu and in some cases have reportedly caused death.
Ukrainian election geopolitics

The bizarre developments in Ukraine over the past two weeks are being blamed inside the country on intense Ukrainian election politics. In four months national elections in Ukraine are due. Among rival candidates are Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and her chief rival, Arseniy Yatseniuk.

Since Washington financed and organized the 2004 Orange Revolution that brought a pro-NATO Victor Yushchenko in as President, Ukraine politics has been a geopolitical tug-of war between Moscow and Washington. How the current political games around allegations of H1N1 panic play into that tug of war is not yet clear.

Another view from glp, probably the closest to the truth...
------------What i know is that before the vaccine came out here in Canada for H1N1 they were running polls and up to 80% of the population said they wouldn't take the vaccine.

All the while there was this huge campaign going on about H1N1. You couldn't turn on the radio or TV without someone from the MSM here telling you how deadly this H1N1 was and you would need to get the shot.

Clinics were set up but not a lot of people were showing up, mainly those in risk groups.

Then all of a sudden they said there was a huge shortage of vaccine and closed the clinics.

During this time anyone dying from the flue got huge publicity over the airwaves, scaring the shit out of the herd even though these people were in high risk groups, usually old with asthma or some other debilitating condition.

When they reopened the clinics people flocked to them like they were giving away free beer.

We are so easily controlled it's pathetic.

It's all going according to plan and we are in it up to our eyeballs but we think we are fine because we can still see with those same eyeballs.

Wait till it becomes personal, then it's too late, game over for you.

Fragile Care Worsened Swine Flu in Ukraine

By ELLEN BARRY
November 14, 2009
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/14/world ... 14flu.html

“Medicine is underdeveloped in Ukraine, and people don’t believe in it — it’s a vicious circle,” said Oleh Berezuk, a physician who heads the mayor’s administration in Lviv.

High mortality rate in Ukraine caused by wrong antibiotic treatment?

Tetyana Vysotska, a welcome new flu blogger, is back posting again at What's Up, Ukraine? Her latest: High mortality rate in Ukraine is caused by a wrong antibiotic treatment? A/H1N1 epidemic update. Excerpt, with her bolding:

With this post I would like to thank everyone who supported me during my flu-time. Thank you very much for your letters, comments and very kind words!

Now I feel much better and couldn’t stand but share with you the interview of Viktor Bachynsky, Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Bureau of the Medico-Legal Investigation. Mr Bachynsky was heading a group of medical professionals who were investigating the recent swine-flu fatal cases in Western Ukraine.

His conclusion is the following: it is not a pneumonia, but cardiopulmonary decompensation and cardiogenic shock, which causes death as a complication after the A/H1N1 virus. Simply said, the A/H1N1 virus in Ukraine is not causing pneumonia, but the toxic distress-syndrome, total lungs affection.

‘Antibiotics don’t help… One who has a strong immune system survives. One with weak immune system dies’, the medico-legal expert says. Viktor Bachynsky emphasized that high morbidity and mortality rate in Ukraine is caused not by a severe infection, but with wrong antibiotic treatment, when in lot of cases people were taking antibiotics without prescription.

Health Ministry sees no need to publish information about confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu.

The Health Ministry of Ukraine sees no need to publish information about a number of laboratory-confirmed cases of А/Н1N1 flu.

"Ukraine has pandemic of А/Н1N1 flu and now it doesn't much matter how many cases are confirmed, as we should treat everyone equally," Ukrainian First Deputy Health Minister Vasyl Lazoryshynets said at a briefing on Nov. 13.

He noted that in Ukraine as of Nov. 13, since the start of the epidemic 1.25 million people have contracted flu and acute respiratory infections. The first deputy health minister said that A/H1N1 flu had been laboratory-confirmed in 14 people.

According to Jukka Pukkila, the Head of a WHO international mission that has been in Ukraine for two weeks, the mission will publish its final decision by the end of this week.

"According to the preliminary results, there is no difference concerning the rate of A/H1N1 flu infection in Ukraine compared to other countries," he said.

Ukraine: Health Ministry confirms 282 deaths of flu and acute respiratory viral infections
Via the Kyiv Post: Health Ministry confirms 282 deaths of flu and acute respiratory viral infections.

The Health Ministry confirmed 282 deaths of flu and acute respiratory viral infections in 23 regions, the city of Kyiv and Crimea as of November 14.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the Health Ministry.

Of 282 lethal cases, 17 cases were registered over the past 24 hours.

"Acute respiratory viral infections" seems a vague expression. So does "flu," for that matter. If these are not confirmed H1N1 cases, what are they? And to what extent are they occurring beyond the Ukrainian seasonal average?

Two stories I am posting here. Need to tell ya they made the little flower sit up and take notice. But it could be simply they way they are worded - so beware!

WHO says swine flu samples from Ukraine showed no significant mutation
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS (CP) – 4 hours ago

GENEVA — The World Health Organization says tests on swine flu samples from Ukraine show no significant mutation of the virus.

WHO had sent an expert team to Ukraine last week after reports of an unusual flu outbreak.

The global body said Tuesday that preliminary genetic sequencing at laboratories in Britain and the United States showed that the virus in Ukraine was similar to that used for production of the pandemic flu vaccine."...similar to that used for production of the pandemic flu vaccine." Hmmmmmm tin foil hattery - why would you say this?

The Ukrainian Health Ministry has registered some 1.4 million cases of flu and respiratory illness since the start of the swine flu outbreak.

WHO says most cases are likely swine flu and the infection rate is in line with neighbouring countries such as Russia and Poland.

Ukraine flu death toll goes up - British labs test to ID flu as H1N1, Spanish flu, or something else
November 16, 6:15

In the Ukraine, a strain of the flu has infected 1.4 million people. The death toll, according to the Ukraine Health Ministry, is at 315 people as of November 16, 2009. The World Bank Database gives the estimated population for the Ukraine as a little over 46 million. While the percentages do not appear high, the reported symptoms and contagion patterns of this flu are of concern to some doctors. The virus is being tested at the Medical Research Council laboratories, in Britain.

Symptoms of the Ukrainian flu

"We don't believe it's H1N1 swine flu. Neither do we know what kind of pneumonia it is," states Ukrainian emergency physician Myron Borysevych. The Daily Mail states that doctors are likening this strain of the flu to the Spanish flu, which included internal hemorrhage and edema in the lungs. Do they mean the 1918 flu? :scared

Last week, the World Health Organization team working in the Ukraine stated that there would be a second wave of the epidemic. This prediction appears to be coming true. The Ukraine Health Ministry reports 16 new deaths in the past day alone.
:awe

Samples of the Ukraine flu virus were provided to a British lab, for testing to conclusively subtype the virus. Learning whether the virus is a mutated form of the H1N1 swine flu, or an entirely new type of flu virus, will help health officials and members of the public take necessary measures for protection from this deadly disease. :dunno

Ukraine Flu Outbreak: Virus Is a Mixture of H1N1 and Parainfluenza, Causes Cardiopulmonary Failure

Interview with Dr. Victor Bachinsky
by Anna Yashchenko
Global Research, November 15, 2009

Unian News Agency (Ukraine), Russian original. Infowars Ireland (English translation) - 2009-11-14

[Translated from Russian, first published in English by Infowars Ireland]

Based on autopsies, we have come to the conclusion: it’s not pneumonia, but cardiopulmonary insufficiency and cardiogenic shock... The virus enters directly into the lungs, there is bleeding... Antibiotics should not be used...

Why do we have such a high mortality rate in the country?

Because people are going to pharmacies to get medicine instead of going to their doctors to be treated... No it is not pneumonic plague. It’s all nonsense... antibiotics do not help... Those with strong immune systems will survive. People with weak immune systems will succumb to the illness... Face Masks provide 30% extra protection. Wearing glasses gives an additional 10% protection, that is 40%, because the virus penetrates the mucose membranes.

The Head of the Chernivtsi regional forensic bureau, Professor Victor Bachinsky M.D. makes a strong statement: all the victims of the virus in Bukovina (22 persons aged 20 to 40 years) died not from bilateral (double) pneumonia, as previously thought, but as a result of viral distress syndrome, i.e. the total destruction of the lungs. We caught up with Professor Bachinsky, to find out how he came to this conclusion, and how people can protect themselves from this disease.

Professor, you said earlier that the virus, from which many people have died – is a mixture of types of parainfluenza and influenza A/H1N1. How do you cure this disease?

The question of how to treat this virus is not up to me. I am a pathologist. I just found out what it is and made an exact diagnosis. It is important to provide the correct treatment based on diagnosis.

There are strict protocols and standards of treatment in medicine. If a doctor treats a patient who dies, their relatives can make a complaint that they were not treated properly (misdiagnosed). The Ministry of Health has set the protocols and standards of treatment for each diagnosis. If diagnosed correctly, the treatment should be correct...

In the Chernivtsi region 18 people have died. We studied all the history and evidence from this disease, preclinical, clinical, resuscitation. When we perform an autopsy organs and tissues have histological studies (cell analysis) and we concluded that it was not pneumonia, and has no relation to pneumonia whatsoever.

These results are the foundation to ensure that doctors who treat this disease all over Ukraine, change their tactics and standards of care.

Can this new virus be cured?

It depends on the immune system. If a person’s immune system is strong, they will overcome it. There are people who carry this strain of H1N1 and remain on their feet and don’t even realise they are sick.

Antibiotics definitely should not be taken. Antibiotics are the reason we have such a high mortality and infection rate in this country, because people go to the pharmacy, describe their symptoms to the pharmacist and ask for drugs. They buy antibiotics, take them, this lowers their immune system and as a result they become sick. If prescriptions were required to buy these medications, like in other countries, this would not have happened. It is the ability to buy antibiotics over the counter without a prescription which has done so much harm to the State.

During autopsies, what did the lungs look like? Were they really black, which gave rise to so much talk of pulmonary plague?

No, they are not black... This is not pneumonic plague. It’s all nonsense. Pneumonic plague has a very different morphology. We have, for example, 60 thousand people who became sick and 23 have died. With pulmonary plague, we would now have a mortality rate of 59 thousand...

This is a viral attack that destroys the lungs.

It turns out that not only in Bukovina, but also throughout the Ukraine people did not die from pneumonia, but from this toxic strain?

Yes, It’s not pneumonia! This destruction of the lungs. This strain is very toxic, and if the immune system is weak, there is bleeding in the lungs. In the lungs there is a tiny structure – acinus, which looks like a bunch of grapes. When you breathe, oxygen enters this tiny “bunch of grapes” ( pulmonary alveoli ). On the surface of the acinus are the capillaries, where red blood cells saturate with oxygen and give blood, which supplies all tissues and organs in the body.

And once the virus enters the lungs – hemorrhaging begins immediately in the acinus. A continuous hemorrhage... It takes several hours. In the blood fibrin is formed, and from it – giolinovaya membrane, resembling a plastic bag. It envelops the acinus, and the person breathes in oxygen, but it is not transferred to the tissues. And people just gasp. There is a cardio-pulmonary insufficiency and cardiogenic shock. People die of cardiogenic shock. And there is no pneumonia. Pneumonia – an inflammation, which is treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics cannot help at any stage. There should be absolutely different treatment.

And how about Tamiflu – does it help?

This is not an antibiotic, it is an antiviral drug, which should be applied on the second or third day of the disease. But you can not use Tamiflu as a preventitive, because it is toxic.

What are the best measures to resist the disease? Is it advisable to use a mask, garlic, vitamin C?

The primary method of prevention is a face mask. This give 30% extra protection. If you wear glasses [goggles] – it is 40%, because the virus enters through the mucous membranes.

It is necessary to improve the human immune system. Not only now, but in general. Garlic, onions, wild rose, viburnum (guelder rose), raspberries, citrus fruit, honey, and other fruits and vegetables – whatever you want. Those with a strong immune system will survive. Those with weaker immune systems will succumb to the disease.

We have a lot of people in Ukraine who like shopping at the open markets. If we can avoid open markets, the less people will be in contact with each other and more lives will be saved.

You have contacted the Health Ministry and advised them to review the standards for treatment of patients. What did they say?

We sent them all our data, the necessary protocols and standards of treatment, our diagnosis. But it is clear that decisions cannot be instantaneous.

And why until now has nobody else known about this disease? What were the leading specialists in the Ministry of Health doing all this time?

Perhaps this is due to the fact that there are scientists who are working on a purely theoretical basis. And there are scientists who have seen the autopsy results. I practice as head of the regional forensic bureau and as a professor. The fact that we have established this diagnosis – it is not just to my credit, and this is not my personal opinion. This is the opinion of specialists, morphologists and doctors in Bukovina. There are five professors in our group – I just head the group.

Updating The Ukraine Flu Story

# 4061

After 3 weeks of wild, reckless and unfounded rumors regarding the flu outbreak in Ukraine that have conjured up the disturbing specters of bioterrorism and pneumonic plague (see Ukraine and the Internet Rumor Mill), it appears that some level of normalcy is beginning to return to that flu battered nation.

Schools are starting to reopen this week, most of the wild speculation appears to be on the wane, and public concerns are subsiding.

The flu is still there, of course.

But the numbers we’ve seen don’t support the wild assertions above, or that anything more ominous than a nasty outbreak of H1N1 (perhaps in concert with some other respiratory viruses) has been taking place in Ukraine.

Nearly 400 deaths in just under a month is tragic, but out of 1.5 million reported infections, about what you’d expect from an outbreak of influenza.

Two stories today from the Kyiv Post, outlining the number of cases, and the return to school.

Health Ministry confirms 374 deaths caused by influenza and acute respiratory viral infections
Today at 13:55 | Ukrainian News

The ministry of healthcare of Ukraine has confirmed 374 lethal cases caused by influenza and acute respiratory viral infections from October 29 to November 21, in 24 regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, reads a report made by the ministry.

<SNIP>

For the last 24 hours eleven people have died.

In total, 1,599,103 people have contracted influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections since October 29; including 22,900 cases for the last 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 93,866 people taken to hospitals, of whom 66,091 already discharged.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the health ministry confirmed 362 people died of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in 23 regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and in Crimea as of November 20.

Quarantine ends in educational institutions of Kyiv on Nov. 25
Yesterday at 08:01 | (Wire reports)

All educational institutions and kindergartens will resume work on Wednesday, November 25.

The state anti-epidemic committee took the relevant decision at its sitting on Friday, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reported.

"The quarantine at all schools and higher educational institutions of Kyiv will end on November 25. The work of all kindergartens will be resumed," First Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Irena Kylchytska said.

According to her, the committee has taken this decision because the infection rate of flu and acute respiratory disease has decreased among the population of the city.

The chief state sanitary doctor of Kyiv on November 19 sent Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky a proposal to end the quarantine at educational institutions of the city on November 25.

WHO to provide 5 million doses of vaccine against swine flu to Ukraine

Today at 13:30 | Interfax-Ukraine
http://www.kyivpost.com/news/nation/detail/53469/

The World Health Organization will provide five million doses of the vaccine against the pandemic H1N1 flu virus to Ukraine, the Ukrainian president's press service reported on Nov. 24.

The WHO experts said this during their meeting with Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian president thanked the WHO experts for their work in Ukraine on helping the country to analyze the situation with the flu outbreak and create the conditions for fighting the current epidemic and anticipated new waves of infection.

My nominee for the Supari Prize

Via Foreign Policy.com: Ukraine's Phantom Flu. Excerpt:

Quote:
The global swine flu outbreak has become something of a political football in every country where the pandemic has spread, but Ukraine's response to the virus has achieved a new level of blatant politicization.

According to a campaign advisor to Yulia Tymoshenko, the Ukrainian prime minister and presidential candidate purposely inflated fears of an ongoing swine-flu epidemic to aid her presidential run.

"We had to create a phantom and then have a white knight riding in to save the day," Taras Berezovets, a senior campaign advisor for Tymoshenko's BYuT bloc, told me in a Kiev restaurant, confirming widespread suspicions among Ukrainian journalists.

Since October, Ukraine has been in the grips of a full-blown panic over swine flu, complete with quarantines, school closures, runs on pharmacies. The Ukrainian health system, already badly dilapidated, was caught off guard and almost 400 people died of the flu in just three weeks.

Tymoshenko flew into action, organizing a delivery of the antiviral drug Tamiflu -- and the requisite press conference -- at the Kiev airport in the early morning hours of Nov. 2.

She quarantined nine regions of the country, closed all schools and univeristies, and petitioned the president for $125 million in emergency funds to fight what seemed to be "the plague of the 21st-century plague," as one Ukrainian put it. Incidentally, she also banned all mass gatherings and political rallies -- after she had already had hers.

Although the World Health Organization concluded that "the numbers of severe cases do not appear to be excessive when compared to the experience of other countries," the call for calm was drowned out by Tymoshenko's drumbeat of action. Pharmacies ran out of surgical masks and medicines as panicked Ukrainians dangerously hoarded supplies.

The fracas couldn't have come at a better time for Tymoshenko, the self-styled heroine of the 2004 Orange Revolution, who was losing the race to the very man the revolution disgraced: Viktor Yanukovich, the Russian-backed candidate.

Tymoshenko's second term has been marred by vicious backbiting with her onetime Orange Revolution ally, President Victor Yushchenko, her perceived pandering to Russia on gas deals, and her apparent inability to save Ukraine from the absolute implosion of its economy.

So much for all the moaning and groaning about pneumonic plague.

I'm nominating Ms. Tymoshenko for this year's Supari Prize, awarded to the politician whose response to pandemic is most likely to make things worse. I'd hate to see a politician more qualified to win.
