What is really beyond logic for me - is that people the world over have no power to change any of this at all! We vote these bastards into office - then cry and bleed poverty when we get policed to hell and back!

In addition to what you both have said, what really concerns me is the two prong insanity of the prosecution of people who have small amounts for personal use, or who are growing small amounts, or even selling small amounts. On one hand it can severely damage or even destroy somebody's life by subjecting him/her to jail time and a record, and on the other hand ties up the courts and costs taxpayers a fortune. All for what? To pursue the notorious, worthless, criminal "war on drugs" which failed a long time ago but is kept alive for political reasons.
