I've not talked about this before, as I'm English (worse still, a Londoner) and my voice counts for little in the scheme of things.

My only involvement will be to suffer / experience the result, irrespective of who wins. For good. For bad.

So, with the polls having closed the early indications are that there has been a very high turnout. About 90% for the postal vote, and it could be that there will be the highest turnout in an election since universal suffrage was granted.

Opinion polls say that the result is too close to call.

Things only really started coming alive last month when the first opinion poll suggested that the Scots really might vote Yes (to become independent). Since then there has been a whole raft of high profile government leaders rushing up to Scotland to beg them to vote No. And bribe then. And frighten them with what might happen if they do go. Many businesses (especially banks) have threatened to move their HQ's from Edinburgh to London. A German bank spokesperson even said that a Yes vote will trigger an economic depression as severe as the 1930's. The British Pound Sterling will likely plummet in value if there is a Yes vote. It fell noticeably even after that first opinion poll hinted that a Yes vote could actually happen.

Something I read in a newspaper is that no-one has ever even hinted that the English / Welsh / Northern Irish should invade Scotland if they do vote to go. They have a point. The same article also said that some States within the USA will be watching carefully, in case they wish to have a vote of their own. Hmm...

One of my brothers told me that the Catalonians in Spain are also watching; if Scotland does vote to leave then it could open the flood gates of nation break-ups.

For good. For bad.

I'm not going to wait up all night for the result, I see no point. It won't change a thing.

Are those Scotland videos a real implication? Ultimate fraud? It appears agents incorporated Darren Brown's abilities to manipulate the voting outcome. It shows the clerks, apparently, believed the yes voting read no. That's why it was out in the open and with some...confusion.

Anyway, I believe I made an original joke today as a result of my wife and I having a contending humorous conversation. I placed it in my signature box below...

I don't take much stock in that 20-14 addition. Anyone could have had that thing professionally fabricated, with scrap granite, and added it with some glue. It doesn't even match the stone, at all. It would bear more authenticity if it was tooled into the prior existing granite.

I would suspect the person that brought this forward with the first photo. Anybody know who that is?
